because it just rocks. I have a Logitech MX Revolution that I shelled out good money for, despite the discount I received because the store I purchased it from was going out of business. I took a gamble, because I knew I would not be able to return it. As luck would have it, it's an excellent piece of hardware, the best mouse I've ever come across, but the Logitech software (preference pane) was totally unusable. Then, I found SteerMouse, and it brought back every bit of functionality that this incredible mouse should have. It has two wheels, and if I scroll the lower one, my screen zooms in or out. If I tilt the upper wheel, it moves through my tabs on any web browser. If I click the main wheel, I can switch applications with ease. Clicking the "search" button will hide the frontmost app or close a window in the finder. The 20 bucks I shelled out for this software validated my hardware purchase, and it was worth every penny.
I understand the problem with using both a Logitech mouse and keyboard and needing LCC, but that's not the fault of the SteerMouse developer.

Steer clear of all but this one... - :HAn.
It doesn't address Logitech's patented scroll wheel. You cant click it for "free-spin" mode, unfortunately. I seem to always be stuck in "click-scroll" mode. If you disable Steer Mouse, the scroll wheel toggle functionality returns. If they fix this issue, Steer Mouse will be complete and PERFECT for me.Reply to This
