I for one appreciate that the developers keep on top of things and are responsive to customer needs. They've always answered my e-mails, and they really don't come out with updates quite that often. Even so, one can always choose to stay with an older version. And one can also set preferences to be notified of updates if one chooses.

Dear Matsoi: Perhaps you should tell all software developers when you'd like them to release an update. That would make this whole update thing a lot more convenient, huh?

The reason for the updates is because the developer is more concerned about their pockets than their customers. The only purpose of these constant releases is to exclude the pirated serial numbers to the "new version." Other than that, there are no "new features."

This is always a red flag for me. I own the program and expect to come before those who do not, or the company. That is not the case here. Version 4.7, 4.7.1, and 4.7.3 are identical other than the addition of the pirated serial number in, for example, "serial box." I'm sure there will be a 4.7.4 as soon as a new serial number comes out.

Customers be damned!

Can you explain what you mean by excluding pirated serial numbers?

There are serial numbers floating around in the public domain. Pirates use them. As a purchaser of this product, and others, I resent that I must constantly "update" my software when it is often the case that the only "upgrade" is that the developer has "upgraded" its software so it no longer works with those serial numbers that pirates are using.

The message is, "let the legitimate users suffer so in our effort to deal with the illegitimate users."
