Cron is about to be a thing of the past on OSX, and just as I was looking for a way to deal and learn with the new Launchd system, I found Lingon.

So far, I can tell that it works as advertised, the interface is complete and helpfull, with a bit of explanation where it is needed (more would be even better, but that's a great start).

I had a few problems at first, but the the programmer's quick and friendly help, I was able to track down the bug to (of course) my own misbehaving application that was in fact, launched just fine from thanx to Lingon.
