Although I haven't had any serious problems...
I cannot use "+" (green) tab to expand....Go to "fit to screen"...

That would likely be because the the (currently) green button has never meant "expand" in the history of the Mac. It's supposed to be a switch between distinct states. For most windows, the control is a toggle between the size the user has made the window and the "natural" size of the window, whatever that means to the application author.

This "feature" was actually introduced in 7.2 (at least it worked for me in versions of QT prior to 7.2).

Perhaps that green button wasn't *meant* to be an expand button, that's exactly how it worked in QTPlayer prior to 7.2...click the green widget, movie expands to fill screen.

You can also do this by pressing Command-3.
