Too many crashes

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I downloaded the demo of Jax and gave it a shot on my PowerMac G5. I've got a brand new iTunes library that I've been slowly rebuilding from a huge collection of CDs & Songs (rating each song, getting album artwork etc.) to rectify things I hadn't done over the years from when I first started using iTunes. I mention that only to preface the fact that I have a brand new, uncorrupted iTunes library with around 2,000 songs at the moment. I've been working with and adding to the library everyday for the last month or so without a single problem or crash.

So, I install Jax. I really was excited to try some of the features, especially as I was rebuilding my library. The music mapping alone would help me greatly as I categorized my collection. I'll never know however, as I could never go more than a few minutes between unexpected iTunes crashes. After about 10 such crashes, which I attempted to remedy with restarts, cache cleanings, etc., I finally gave up.

Jax may be a promising product, but it's not ready for prime time.
