This plugin it si not necessary while you have a free app like 1001. FLickrExport only shows me small thumbnails difficult for me to organize uploads.
in 1001 you can resize the upload window to your needs with a clear preview of the pictures to upload, more when you have different versions
FlickrExport for iPhoto
iPhoto plugin to export to flickr.com.

Why to pay if 1001 is free - mail117
I don't need to press upload for each photo in 1001. I just select all of them and press upload once. Perhaps we are using a different version.Friday, August 10 2007 @ 02:48 AM PDT

Yeah, the comment is correct in that 1001 can show you pictures from iPhoto and let you upload them to flickr - I downloaded it after the above comment to see how it compares.Using 1001 I can indeed increase the size of the thumbnails to get a better view of which pictures to upload - but I can also change the size in iPhoto before using this exporter, so that comment is misleading. And in iPhoto I like to double click to get a larger view of the photo to see which one of many similar photos I want to upload.
Both programs let me choose multiple photos to upload (command-click), but 1001 makes me click the "upload" button for each photo, while this exporter uploads every photo with one click.
1001 is more complex than FlickrExport, and I do not want that complexity (or richness, if you prefer). I like the ease of use that this exporter offers.
1001 is not free, it is donationware. I do not believe in using software without paying for it, so I would have to give a donation to the programmer, which would just about equal the price of FlickrExport.
I know that many people can not stand iPhoto, but I like using it for my small collection (only around 9,000 so far), and find it easier to do a simple and straightforward export from inside iPhoto. 1001 may be a great choice if you don't use iPhoto.

You get what you pay for, cowboy. I tried to make 1001 fit into my workflow. iPhoto is where I work with my photographs. Opening 1001 adds multiple steps but is only a one trick pony. FlickrExport incorporates export to Flickr into my existing workflow. And I work for a living so I don't have to go ask mommy for money to buy the tools I use.Posting ads for other products as reviews in VersionTracker and driving down a products rating is cheap and childish.
