Wow. These guys charge you for every postcard you print after the first 3, and the prices are similar to what you would pay for a postcard in a shop ($3.99 USD to print 1) while you still pick up the tab for card stock, printer, ink, cost of the app, and time to compose the card.

I'm the kind of person who gets a bit disgusted by profiteering on this level and maybe you are too.

Charge for every Postcard printed - levinedr

While I agree with you completely, I wouldn't fault the author for building this option into the app as it is very convenient and clever even if prohibitively expensive. What I'm saying is that take this feature away (which no one has to use) and you still have a stellar 5 star app well worth the cost. And, in a pinch, if you need to send some marketing or personal cool cards in a hurry, and money is no object, well that is possible.

Erm, YOU don't print the postcard and send it. That's the point. So there is no extra cost for ink, paper etc.

The cost is 'similar to buying one in a shop' so how is that profiteering?

You could of course email your card (free) or print it out yourself and send it (ink, card and postage)

I think you have basically misunderstood what is on offer with this particular service. In any case you don't HAVE to use it and the rest of the app is well worth the money..
