Is there a way to disable flash per-page?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

I'm really annoyed at all the Flash garbage I have to wade through, including talking heads (which I find particularly annoying). I'm not sure I want to enable Flash until there's a way to turn off this crap on a per-host page basis.

Basically what I want is the Flash equivalent of a pop-up blocker.

If you use Firefox, give Flashblock a try and see if it does the trick for ya.

Firefox add-on: adblock–I don't see most ads on any pages I almost take it for granted... if you don't use Firefox... then, I don't know...

Alternatively, Camino has a build-in ad and flash blocker too. No need to deal with extensions, just check the appropriate options in the preferences under web features.

Safari, Camino, and Firefox methods - dreamcore

Safari: SafariStand ("Stand" Menu -> "Load Plug-In Manually")
Camino: built-in FlashBlock (Prefs -> Web Features -> "Block Flash animations")
Firefox: FlashBlock extension
