While I know the rules of backgammon, I've never played. Unfortunately, even at the novice level this game is too much for me. The game has one 19 games to my 3 (I conceded 9), has rolled 108 doubles to my 85 and won 20 first rolls to my 13... but, more importantly, I'm not having any fun trying to learn. Also, is it really necessary to drop seven separate documents, each with a single hyperlink, into a folder on my hard drive? I think it's possible now to make HTML documents with multiple hyperlinks.

Probably fine if you can play - MacGuffin

Nicely self-deprecatory! :)
It seemed a bit odd to me that you'd nailed "conceded" but screwed up "won."

fine if you want to learn - game author

While the rules are easy to learn, learning how to play good is much more difficult. I suggest, at minimum, to read a beginning book on backgammon, such as Bill Roberties "Backgammon For Winners". A little good strategy goes a long ways. You will win a lot more games in no time.

Also, the game has a learn feature that lets you know when you have made a good or bad move. You can also review its suggested moves to see what the computer player would have done.
