I love VisualHub and use it several times a day to convert .flv files I download from YouTube to .dv. One thing I discovered recently, though, is that if the name of the file you wish to convert contains double quote marks ("), VisualHub seems to start -- says it has started on file 1 -- but it'll sit there forever and do nothing. Remove the quotes and voila, it takes off like a champ and completes the conversion.
