this software actually is something other than totally useless. I mean, I'm just not sure why anyone would want to lock up vast numbers of files/folders; then you would not be able to move these files around before you then unlock them. Therefore it looks like this program just creates more work for you. In the old days, before mass storage, you used to be able to lock files for the purpose of not deleting them accidentlally. Today of course this is not necessary because backing up is so cheap to do.
Anyway, I do find this program useful for the mere reason that it can quickly check a large number of files, and if one is locked the file will be reported to you in red color, making locked files (if any) very easy to spot. This program is very efficient in that manner, being able to make sure that your files are NOT locked, but this is the only reason I can think of to use LockMeBaby (just one more time!) ; )

I suppose you could use this program across a public *Network*, to *lock down* necessary files on the Server. But for the average user, I still don't think this is a necessary program to be running.Reply to This
