Um, people... no need to blast this software. Just don't install it; it is not necessary. OS X supports APC UPS products natively without any additional software. Just plug the USB cable in your mac (and the other end into the proper port on the UPS) and check the built-in Energy Saver control panel in your System Preferences. You will find all the automated shut-down controls automatically appear when the USB cable from the UPS is plugged in. APC makes great UPS devices and Apple supports them without any additional software installation.

APC should just put a note on the PowerChute software disk and tell people that Apple already includes PowerChute functionality in the Energy Saver control panel in OS X, so no software installation is necessary.
