Since the last update (10.4.9) my 20" i.2.16 GHz Intel iMac has has a very loud volume -- so loud that I had to keep it set at one bar (the minimum), and even then it was too loud. This update seems to fix that. Now I have the volume set at six bars and it's approximately the same as it was before at one bar. Also, Safari 2.0.4 seems to be faster. (I tried Safari 3.0, but it had all sorts of problems, so I reverted to 2.0.4). No problems with 10.4.10 so far.

Seems to resolve volume problem on 20" Intel iMac - Angostura-3

Same here, volume reduced, and a double restart. No obvious problems with Safari 3 beta, though.
