I've updated a few computers at work to Mac OS 10.4.10. I have a small problem. Apple Remote Desktop identifies them as 10.4.9. The build number (in brackets) however is correct. The problem relates to both PPC and Intel computers.

Guess what? Versiontracker Pro too! - winnertakesall
Same thing here. Actually, VersionTracker Pro bases this assumption on the version of Finder.app (Sytem-> Library -> CoreServices -> Finder.app). If I go to the Finder and select "About the Finder", the version number I get is 10.4.7, whereas my system is upgraded to 10.4.10. Anybody else notice this?Thursday, June 21 2007 @ 09:43 AM PDT
Finder stays 10.4.7 generally - Ilgaz
Apple rarely updates Finder unless there is a security problem or they simply have to.I think VT looks to Finder's size or something else since 10.4.8, 10.4.9 "Finder" is 10.4.7 too.
We better report this, can create real waste of endless download/install on automated machines. Imagine you track 10 machines or more and they keep downloading 10.4.10 :)

My Finder also says 10.4.7. I guess that's the last time Apple updated the Finder!Thursday, June 21 2007 @ 05:02 PM PDT

VT Pro has now apparently modified its identification criteria. We no longer are informed that our 10.4.10 system is outdated ! What a relief ;-)Saturday, June 23 2007 @ 07:38 PM PDT

Same here. ARD reports 10.4.10 updates as 10.4.9 (8R2218). What's up with that?Monday, June 25 2007 @ 11:34 AM PDT

I came to check if other people share same problem, Versiontracker Pro thinks I am using outdated 10.4.x while I just updated from combo.Weird.
