This exporter succeeded in exporting its available fields almost immediately; the created database was immediately opened in Excel, which demonstrates the app can be used for many purposes, even paper address labels. UNFORTUNATELY the app does not export ALL the fields available in Address Book -- specifically the friend field. The fields which can be selected (other than name) are only email, company, notes, title, im, addresses and phones. I did not have occassion to test the import to GMail function, but this nifty little app would be improved by expanding the available fields for export.
