I think it's interesting the developer has left the old, attractive and easy to use skin design screenshot on Version Tracker even though that skin has not been available for some time now. While the added features in recent updates are welcome, the sterile, hard to read skin options are not. Clearly neither aesthetics nor usability are high on his priority list. Yet he must feel some guilt for abandoning those values because he has not updated the screenshot. One could say it's a bait and switch sales tactic - one that is actually illegal as well as unethical. He gets around that, of course, by asking for donations rather than requiring a license fee. I don't mind paying for shareware that I find useful but I won't be donating anything for iStat Pro until I can use it again without eye strain.
