Buggy, it seems

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I queued up a playlist of ambient sounds on repeat play with shuffle selected, to fall asleep to. It seemed to be working fine, but when I woke up in the morning it wasn't playing, and there were red X's through the icons of my files in the playlist. And now it will still play if I double-click on one of the files in the playlist, but then it stops, will not play the next file in the playlist or shuffle. So, it seems like this is yet another buggy, poorly-functioning OS X mp3 player. Why isn't there a good mp3 player for OS X yet?

Buggy, it seems - mr sniffles

Well, there's this thing called iTunes. Not sure if you've heard about it...

Seriously, Audion is basically abandonware from the os9 days. There are those who prefer it to iTunes for daily mp3 play (me). But, those people are accustom to it's bugginess which exists due to the fact it was given up on mid-development in the wake of the iTunes explosion.

I really have no problem with it. In fact, it seems to work better on my Intel machine than it ever did on any of my ppc machines (go figure)

So, if you can get used to some, uh, idiosyncrasies, you'll find it to be a pretty great, and great sounding program. I'm still holding out hope that Panic will either pick up development again (not likely) or release the source to allow someone else to continue it's evolution.
