I love PithHelmet. Surfing the web without it and having to see all those rotten ads is horrible! PithHelmet filters most of the ads out. But every time a new version of Safari comes out, it breaks PithHelmet. Safari 3.0 Beta is no exception. I hope the developer is able to soon bring out a new version which works with the Safari 3.0 Beta, or I'll have to go back to the old Safari, just to get PithHelmet back.

Safari 3.0 Beta breaks PithHelmet - Frank_Martin

Ditto for me, man. I have gone back to Safari 2.0.4 until Pithhelmet works again.

There was a preferences file (.plist) hack that worked on earlier updates...forget what it is. Might be worth a try, but might cause crashes.

This might be a good time for everyone who hasn't to pony up theur shareware fee, just to express our appreciation.

Safari 3.0 Beta breaks PithHelmet - T Smith

I agree-if you have not yet paid the shareware fee, now is a great time to encourage Solomon. It's worth more than every penny to be able to get rid of all those ads!

Safari 3.0 Beta breaks PithHelmet - voiceofra

From the front page of the developer's site:
A bunch of people have asked about support for PithHelmet in Safari 3 or Leopard. The answer for now is no - it doesn't currently work and there is no quick hack. I may be able to fix it for the Safari 3 beta, but I don't know about making PithHelmet work in Leopard - I haven't seen it and I don't have access to it. A further few have asked if PithHelmet will work in Windows - I can say that's pretty unlikely at this point.
So, no, it ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Which sucks, because I really like PithHelmet and Safari 3 is rockin for me.
