Have you guys tried to load a pdf in your Safari browser window? I kept getting the spinning Acrobat plug-in cursor. When I deleted the v.8.1 plug-in and switched back to 8.0, all was fine.

pdf browser plugin 8.1 doesn't work - John Sawyer
The Schubert plug-in now has the generic-sounding name "PDF Browser Plugin". It works fine--remove Adobe's "AdobePDFViewer" from Library/Internet Plug-Ins, and replace it with "PDF Browser Plugin". This also fixes a bug in Safari, where if you also have PithHelmet installed forSafari, opening a PDF file while Adobe's plugin is active, will prevent Safari's "Window" menu from being able to bring any of its windows to the front.

Also, in Adobe Reader, select Preferences: Internet, and turn off the options for "Check browser settings when starting Reader", and "Allow fast web view".Tuesday, June 19 2007 @ 05:46 PM PDT

Just disable the browser part in preferences and get Shubert's PDF Browser Plugin. Life is short; enjoy it while you can.Reply to This
