DVD Shrink for Vista? - mdk2dude

My experience with Vista has been very bad using Shrink. It causes the system to crash. I have tried everything since it works so well with XP. Sorry but I am looking for a solution too. If anyone knows a special driver to use please advise me.

I have upgraded to Vista and since that time DVD Shrink does not recognise the DVD in the drive. Never had problem under XP, any feedback or ideas??

I think I figured out a way to get DVD Shrink to work in Vista although it is a bit tricky. when you go to open the program and it says it has stopped working, you should get a pop-up box down by your clock on the taskbar. when you see this, click on it and it will give you instructions on how to shut off the DEP for that program(Vista thinks that DVD Shrink is a malicious program so it shuts it down automatically). Open up Control Panel>System and Maintenance>System. Click advanced system settings on the side and under performance, click on the settings button. Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab and click the add button. You then have to add the .exe file for DVD Shrink to the list of programs and MAKE SURE THE BOX IS CHECKED. After all that you should be shrinking in no time!!

I have been using DVD Shrink for some time now. I have recently upgraded my system and am using Vista Home Premium. I have had no problems at all with DVD Shrink.
