I'm writing this not to criticize a worthy project, but to caution those who don't know. I say I haven't used it, but with a caveat--I do use NeoOffice. The Aqua port of OpenOffice is still Alphaware, meaning it doesn't fully work:
• No printing
• Cut and paste is not fully functional
• It crashes frequently
There are several other limitations to be seen at the web site. If you want to help developers deal with bugs and other issues, you can do so by using this app, but don't think about deploying it for mission critical projects. It will likely be months before OO Aqua is ready for real work.
I'm looking forward to that myself. I like NeoOffice a lot and wouldn't think about OO if NeoOffice were faster. After all, OO and NO are basically the same, with NO being a port of OO to Java.

OpenOffice.org Aqua is using the very latest OpenOffice.org code line. As new features are added to the main code line they become available in OpenOffice.org Aqua. The current release is using code between OpenOffice.org 2.2 and 2.3.Tuesday, June 05 2007 @ 05:16 AM PDT

Neo is a fair bit behind in the development timeline. I hope that the Aqua version is synchronous.Reply to This
