The programmers of DVD Snap apparently like cute effects like fade-in and fade-out for the windows of this app, thus making it really slow. I'd rather have it be fast than fancy.

On my macs (Intel MacMini 1.83, 2 GB of Ram, 1.25 PPC, 1 GB of Ram) all works just fine.
But your tip is really helpful if you don't have a fast mac.
What machine do you have ? I can add a new option in the next update for slow and fast macs.

Best Regards,
Tobias Jordan.

I think the user is complaining that it takes several seconds to complete the cycle for a single screen capture. He/she is probably expecting it to do its work in a fraction of a second with no fade-out of the controls & dialogues and no countdown warning - just bang, bang, bang with minimal feedback on where it is in the process and if it was successful or not.

I personally like the feedback and window dressing, but an option to disable everything but a final "task completed" alert may keep others satisfied.
