The programmers of DVD Snap apparently like cute effects like fade-in and fade-out for the windows of this app, thus making it really slow. I'd rather have it be fast than fancy.

I think the user is complaining that it takes several seconds to complete the cycle for a single screen capture. He/she is probably expecting it to do its work in a fraction of a second with no fade-out of the controls & dialogues and no countdown warning - just bang, bang, bang with minimal feedback on where it is in the process and if it was successful or not.I personally like the feedback and window dressing, but an option to disable everything but a final "task completed" alert may keep others satisfied.

On my macs (Intel MacMini 1.83, 2 GB of Ram, 1.25 PPC, 1 GB of Ram) all works just fine. But your tip is really helpful if you don't have a fast mac.
What machine do you have ? I can add a new option in the next update for slow and fast macs.
Best Regards,
Tobias Jordan.
