Just to defend this application and it's developer a little bit as he and his application seems to get more than its fair shair of stick.

I've owned and purchased this application from day one being a long time Acquisition user. I've used all the mac peer 2 peer applications out there and can honestly say that xtorrent is the best of the bunch. In all the time that i've used this app I think its maybe only crashed on 2 occasions and I use it on a daily basis.

I use this on a PPC G5 and an Intel MacBook by the way and have found that on both machines it's nowhere near as resource hogging as some alternative apps.

Sure, there are free alternatives out there but it always comes back to this point.....you get what you pay for. In my opinion this is worth every penny and more.

For those having issues out there, don't be so quick to blame the app or the developer. Why not have a look at your own systems first and really assess how stable they are before pointing the finger.
