This program works on PKZip v4.6 archives.
The unzip utility built into Tiger says,
need PK compat. v4.6 (can do v2.1)
Four stars because I wish it would let me drag a file out of the archive and onto the desktop or a folder.

It just takes it few milliseconds to extract file in the background before you can actually drug it. If it still does not work for you please talk to me via support on zipeg website. I have newer releases that may help.
