MacScan 2.4.1 is available for beta testing. This beta addresses the concern of a bug within the application where MacScan would crash when initiating a scan for select users.

This is not the final version of MacScan, those who have experienced the problem as explained above are encouraged to give immediate feedback of the results. This is a beta and should not be used on a production machine.

MacScan 2.4.1 Beta - tacmac2

Macscan's ad in Macworld (9/07) says nothing about being a beta version and none of the comments above suggests there is merit to the software. I would not even try it with 100% negative comments from Versiontracker users.
