I've been developing commercial applications with Revolution since v1.0, and this latest version is the best yet.
In my 20 years as a professional developer I've used more than a dozen tools, and Rev delivers the strongest return on investment for myself and my clients. Its extremely high-level language and rich object model let me go from design to prototype to finished work, all in one environment and in record time.
Revolution 2.8.1 may be a minor upgrade, but it represents a significant step forward in both features and robustness.
I'm not sure what some of the other comments here are talking about, but I noticed that one of them is the only post in all of VersionTracker that he's made. Maybe he works for a competitor, I don't know.
All I know is I'm moving four companies forward with apps we've built with Rev, at a significantly lower cost than we would have incurred using just about anything else.
It's definitely a different way of working if you're used to lower-level languages, but once you get the hang of it I'd be surprised if your results aren't like mine.
