After the recent events catalogued below I am wary. I would like to see some encouraging posts before I take any risk with the data on my several LaCie drives, even though they are all clones. Posts saying: "the Tool told me my firmware is up-to-date" are useless. If anyone uses v1.4.2 to update their firmware and subsequently thoroughly uses the drive it would be kind to see your report here. Sorry, but my data is too valuable to me to want to be a guinea pig.

Your comment is correct. I tried to make that totally clear in my post. If you don't wish, like me, to volunteer that's fine, but why the need to be rude?Wednesday, May 09 2007 @ 04:11 PM PDT

"....Sorry, but my data is too valuable to me to want to be a guinea pig."Incredibly, this update took my previously worthless data and converted it into extremely valuable data.
