Can't program buttons (Mac G4)

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

Today I bought Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2000, and downloaded and installed Microsoft Mouse 6.2 (also called Intellipoint). NONE of the buttons can be programmed. The scroll wheel button ALWAYS does a single click no matter what option I choose in the panel. The right button always does secondary click. The included manual, such as it is, is very simple and does not mention that the sofware can be downloaded. It simply says it can be used with no software. Tha's true if you only want the factory defaults. The installer provides no uninstall option. I'm very disappointed and will be returning my new mouse tomorrow.

Can't program buttons (Mac G4) - chesters

The intellipoint/intellimouse installer for version 6.2 puts uninstallers in your /Applications/Utilities folder. They work. I installed version 6.2 to update version 6.1, so I could uninstall the whole thing, now that I am using Logitech devices.
