My daughter occasionally has the need to read and write Word documents, but not often enough to warrant the purchase of MS Office. (I have MS Office, because my place of work requires it.) So I decided to try NeoOffice, and find it works very well! In some ways, better than MS Office! Just before installing NeoOffice, we were working on a document in MS Office on my MacBook Pro and MS Office suddenly quit! After downloading NeoOffice and installing it (PowerPC version) and applying the most recent Patch 3, I tried it, never crashed, and worked flawlessly. I may use NeoOffice instead of the "real" MS Office.

There may be a difference between the PowerPC and Intel versions, but so far I'm very impressed with the PowerPC version I've used.
