I use it to edit pictures for publication in scientific journals. It has all the essential features we used all the time in illustrator, but for less.
Is still under development and it is in the good track.
It parses pdf what is great. eps and ai will be a plus... but until now try and you will be suprised.

Hello,The software would be very nice IF IT WAS BUG FREE and UPDATED, but since a YEAR IT ISNT'. The Bugs are heavy, including bugs in path creating, bugs with layers visibility, UNDO.
The freeverse isn't doing any progress on fixing these bugs for over a YEAR...
Consider another software, rather then buggy and unsupported DEAD piece of software.

Very good... - David Virshup
I have just started to use Lineform 1.5 for the same purpose; assembling labeled figure for scientific publication.(Since I used Canvas before, and find AI far too complex for this simple task. What figure editor do you use for images - Did you stick with Photoshop, or find a good replacement?
