I have to disagree wtih the other comments. This app takes a task that is usually very painful (managing money) and makes it actually fun and enjoyable. I have tagged every transaction I have made dating back to last June and now have invaluable data to see where my money is going and where I can cut back. The ability to do this in a beautiful native mac application is wonderful.
The tag based smart folders are a fantastic way to track spending on items like "dining out" or "groceries" and make it really simple to see how much you have spent on a given item in a month.
Yes, the app still is being worked on and has some issues but I would much rather pay for an app that is being developed than one that the developers just take your money and run. This app has been in beta for many months and the developer actively listens to what his user wants and works hard to implement new featuers.
Over the past few months people have reqeusted:
Import to QIF
-Implemented
Editing transactions via hotkeys
-Implemented
Created tag based budgets
-Implemented
Account tabs that remember user settings:
-Implemented
These are just some of the features that have been requested on the midnight apps forums that the developers have implemented.
People ought to remember that a financial application isnt a simple, easy app to create. If it was there would be dozens of great ones available for the Mac when in reality there are only 2-3 that are mediocre at best.
I look forward to seeing how this app grows in the future and have gladly paid the 40 dollar registration fee to keep this app growing.

Obvious Shill - SpafTh
Blatantly a message from the developers, or some one they got to write it for them. So clearly marketing-ese, it's amazing they bothered. How stupid do they think we are?
