Ths security update is a mess, I install it on my macbook Pro today and then my laptop has never been able to boot. I had to reinstall mac Os. I advice everybody to not install this update.

Same problem, with the security update installed on a white macbook. Am reinstalling OS now; hoping that will fix it.

you don't have to reinstall mac os x. just run Combo Update which can sort it out.

Is not this update for the 10.4.9 and not for the Intel computers? There is one for the Intel models but this is not it.
