Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

The sound quality is simply terrible. Apart from that, the voice on every track I listened to was a woman who sounded like a twelve-year-old girl. I couldn't stand to listen to her for more than a minute. Maybe the content is good, but all the hissing and static in the background were a huge disappointment. I was expecting content produced professionally.

The recorded instructions are outdated, making no mention of the video iPod and in fact referring to the "iPod photo" and the "regular iPod." I have a 5G iPod and would have preferred instructions recorded since its release. The copyright date stated was 2005. The phrase "h t t p colon slash slash" was read in the instructions a few times, which sounded even more outdated. I have double-checked, and the version I tried was indeed 6.0.

The installer was unclear in its instruction to install onto the iPod itself. I didn't realize there was no application, just content. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and still ended up not being able to view anything using the Notes feature on my iPod. It simply went to a blank screen labeled "iPod Applications." Even my existing notes were unreachable.

Even though it didn't do anything on my iPod, I believe I listened to enough of the content on my computer to make a judgment that this isn't a product for me. I got it at a bargain-basement price, so I don't feel like I wasted any money, but it simply wasn't of the quality I was expecting.
