Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

It's installs too many strange apps (bridge, stock photos, etc) that I don't use (only use Photoshop). Takes too much space and it is becoming very slow.
It's becoming a excuse to change to Corel Painter...

you are a complete idiot.
if all you care about is photoshop, only install photoshop. and there are no other "strange apps", you listed them all, and you can choose not to install them.
this suite has other problems, but it's obvious you have no idea what they are since you don't use it. so don't leave a comment then

Very slow?? The beta of Photoshop CS3 opens in about 5 seconds, and working with large multi-layered projects is significantly faster. This is on an Intel iMac 20". If you think it's very slow, it may be time to upgrade your Performa.

You might also want to open and look at Bridge. Once you realize what it is, it may not seem so "strange".

Very big! - A Nony Mouse

Lets not be mean to other people, folks.. This persons experience may be simply that, their experience. It is true that the software package is considerably larger than in the past. Now that the pieces depend of each other more (why did bridge need to be part of InDesigns install by default?) the default click through install can be colossal. If I create a slim OS X image for our company with all the needed componants (minus Adobe) its almost 4Gb. Add Adobe ad BANG 5.7 or more GB. That's big. Heck Adobe Acrobat is almost 900Mb. Give or take a hundred Mb. But what's space in the world of 250Gb default hard drive configurations.

Very big indeed - som1

Even though I own the latest, fastest MBP with plenty of memory I still can't ignore the nagging feeling that Adobe is, above all, increasing the bloatware factor with the 3rd release of their Creative Suite. I pity anyone that doesn't have today's CPU power and still has to do serious work in Adobe apps. I'm also looking forward to Photoshop speed tests which compare PS CS2 with PS CS3 on a PPC machine. I have the feeling that it won't be pretty.
