i run the DMG file which does what? downloads another installer. So i run that installer and it seems to install okay. When I start Acroreader 8 I get the annoying screen of wanting to read the advanced guide or some such. Then the whole application dies. I cant find version 7.x to download and 8.x crashes shortly after lanuch.

the fix is to install 7.0.
