I work in the technical support field, for a mac-based company (yay!)... I used to use Word to make tutorials, but only did so when truly necessary because of how long it took. Using the auto-snap feature and ctrl-cmd-shft-4 key-combo for taking screenshots direct to clipboard, which throws it directly into your next step, the process is now so fast & streamlined (not to mention beautifully formatted) that I am putting out tutorials about 4x as often, and each takes at most half the time it used to take me in Word. The only thing I hope for in the future is a slightly more capable image editor... like having the ability to add numbers or text boxes over the pictures, and perhaps some arrows instead of just boxes & circles.
