Been waiting for something like this since OS X came out, pretty much. MenuCal was buggy as all hell last time I tried it, and previous comment poster is welcome to enjoy paying for those.

The condensed format day/month is brilliant, absolutely the best implementation I've seen. It does what I want, pop down a quick month calendar without having to wait 5 seconds for iCal to load on my G4, and has been completely stable for me.
