It's disgraceful how long Garmin have taken to get this far. Absolutely bl**dy disgraceful. Let me say also, that I'm sure it's not the developer(s) - it will have been some bean counter higher up in the company.

Right, having ranted, how about the software? I managed to successfully update a StreetPilot i3 from its shipping firmware 2.6 to the currently available 3.3. Everything seemed to go fine, taking about four or five minutes. The software seemed a little buggy around the edges, but this is the beta after all. It did the job it was supposed to do.

Right Garmin - now you're obviously starting to get the hang of this, can we please get a Points Of Interest uploader too?
