Starting maybe a few months ago, VT started listing some applications twice, and a few more than twice. With the last version check I performed, it seems to have gone totally bonkers. One program, CocoThumbX, is listed exactly 47 times. In some cases where a program is listed more than once, one of the duplicates in the correct, new version, and all the rest are old versions. C-C-R-R-A-A-Z-Z-Y-Y.
I am continually amazed that, considering how much we are paying for this software, and how limited in scope this application is, that development and bug fixes happen very, very slow. A few point updates a year is pathetic. Some developers do that much every month. I don't know how many subscribers you guys have, but for $50 or more per year per seat, surely you can motivate your programmers to step up the pace (or hire new ones).

I appear to have a similar issue. When you look at the duplicates, do some of them refer to files under /Library/Printers..., instead of to the relevant '.app'? That's the common factor I've noticed - I have, of course, emailed support about this.Friday, April 06 2007 @ 12:17 PM PDT

I had "problem" like yours with an appl: VT doubled it. The old version of that appl was deeply deinstalled from my mac.I tryed a possible solution: I deeply deistalled VT (4.2.2) and then I reinstalled the same version: it seems a solution (but I'd like to know why VT makes errors like this)

I forgot to add that in every case, the application exists only once on my hard drive, just in case you're wondering.Reply to This
