Ferocious CPU usage

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

Launched the app, loaded an image, then noticed CPU usage. Here's a paste from a 'top' output (with a dual-1.7 GHz CPU Cube):

2618 Norrkross 186.9% 0:56.68 3 91 239 37.3M 17.4M 44.8M 148M

Those are some serious cycles given I wasn't actually DOING anything with the image. On the other hand, it evidently is multi-processor aware :)

Ferocious CPU usage - martin71

Tint calculates the image in background threads, and depending on the size of the image it takes up to a few seconds. After that the CPU usage should go down until you change any of the settings. If you think there's a bug somewhere then please email support@norrkross.com so I can fix it.
