If any Intel Core 2 Duo Macintosh goes to sleep while running the Retrospect Client, when it awakes from sleep, the Retrospect Client says that it is "on" but in fact it is no longer broadcasting itself to the Retrospect server. The Retrospect application on the server machine can NO LONGER see the Retrospect Client. The thing that causes this to happen is the Core 2 Duo client machine going to sleep. IT IS SLEEP WHICH CAUSES THIS PROBLEM. In an environment with laptops, we can't just simply say "don't sleep the computers" because people take their laptops off-site with them and put the machine to sleep just by closing the lid! This happens on ALL Core 2 Duo Macintoshes, this is reproducible 100% of the time, and it happens in Mac OS X 10.4.8 and 10.4.9.
