Sorry to say this software doesn't even begin to work. I fired it up after purchasing a license and recorded a meeting at work. After 41 seconds, it stopped recording but never gave any indication. Subsequent attempts to record continued to stop at random times, all under one minute. I was hoping for a simple and reliable application for recording video, and this doesn't even qualify as an Alpha, let alone version 2.2. Most adjustment controls don't work, the presets don't appear to change the filesize of the recordings, and there is no online support beyond a handful of FAQ Q&A's. This looks like a product and a company to stay away from.

Re: Dead on Arrival - dave-kagi

I was able to make contact with Boinx's customer support, and they stated that their software will not work with 10.4.9. Working on a refund.....

Dead on Arrival - Oliver Breidenbach

I am very sorry to hear about your troubles. The problem with the recording was introduced with QuickTime 7.1.5 and has been solved in the meantime. This problem also lead to every one of your files being the same size regardless of the encoding you used. The controls in the sidebar only work on IIDC cameras that support things like focus control. The external iSight is one of those. Unfortunately, for the internal iSight, Apple chose a fixed-focus USB camera that has almost no features that can be controlled.

It is and has always been our policy to refund purchases to customers who find that the product does not meet their expectations.

Best regards,

Oliver Breidenbach
