Existing users, 
I used Simple MovieX 3.0fc2 demo version to cut and trim an mpeg movie- easy as pie.
My system: 10.4.6 powerbook g4
10 second delay before processing to consider buying it. It worked, I bought it, that's all!
I haven't tried the other features, but I bought it to trim and cut mpegs from my digital camera.
