A friendly word of warning about a piece of software wich I love.

Do not run this on Intel mac with MacOS X Server 10.4.x!

When running DesktopID on an Intel mac with MacOS X Server 10.4.x it will "freak out" after a while and hog 100% of CPU time. Thus leaving you with a machine wich does not respond. Me and my coleagues verified this on 2 separate cases in one morning.
We have never has ANY problems on PCC macs though.
