Questionable solvency of company

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

After over a week cannot contact anyone at company, emails just bounce back, waited over 45 minutes on hold and hold time just kept getting longer, get error message when I click on download on web page.

I'd suggest that you don't buy send any money to Parallels until you are sure they are still in business.

Previous version works well with most Windows programs but on a MacBook dual core it doesn't recognize the USB ports over 1/2 the time.

Company appears solvent - davebarnes

Parallels is owned by SWSoft ( http://www.swsoft.com ).
One of their other products is Plesk which has a hug market share.
Now, SWSoft is privately held, so no financial data are available. But, I am pretty sure they are solvent.

I suspect what we are seeing vis à vis response times is due to overload.
Mac sales are up.
I suspect that Parallels sales have exploded beyond anything they staffed up for.

Questionable solvency of company - montylee

Support is terrible. They had this same lack of support for products sold under Nova Development (Print Explosion), but Parallels support is by far the worst. I waited 66 minutes with no answer. They NEVER respond to emails unless you are buying their product. Once bought, you get no support. Build 3188 does not work anymore on my MacBook Pro 2.33ghz machine, and I cannot get hold of them to get it fixed. I wish I had kept the previous build which did work.
