Existing users, 
I tried everything. Bought a Skype certified phone from the Skype webshop, also bought a Mac/Skype compatible headset, but same problem: works a few seconds then my voice turns into garbage and people don't hear anything at all. I end up making new calls from my mobile, which is quite expensive.
I also tried with a 1.5 version.
I have a G5 (10.4.8) with lots of RAM and a good connection (and yes I have SkyMacMate).
I also tried on a G4 that runs only Panther and no extras.
Same result.
What gives? There's no way to get help from Skype, and no solution in their forums either.
