The purpose of inviting you to use a beta version is for the developer to get your feedback. Posting problems and suggestions here is pointless. Please do so in the CCC v.3 forum so that Mike sees them.

YES...post beta comments here...!! - SPI...master...

The purpose of the comments here on Version Tracker are for the END USER not for the developer. These comments warn me about betas that I may not have the time to work with. Developers should read the comments here as well as provide their own bug-gathering mechanism and should consider posting replys to comments here. I, for one, don't have time to visit every developer's individual site to follow beta development.

Perfectly valid... - Andreas..

A perfectly valid comment. Perhaps, though - if you have the time - you could consider also posting at the forum (a copy/paste would be fairly quick) so that Mike has the opportunity to ask you for additional info or make a suggestion.

Regarding warnings: no-one should entrust important data to a beta.

Thanks.

Beta? What beta? - xpete

If this is a beta version of CCC, should it not be indicated somewhere in the version number or in the release notes? This looks to me like an update to a full-release version of the software. Plus, I would imagine sites like VersionTracker and other download sites are prime generators of downloads of CCC: I learned CCC had been updated from a VersionTracker daily alert. If that's so, then I would imagine Mike would have an incentive to check the comments here and at other popular download sites. As an Intel Mac user, I appreciate the comments of the experienced CCC user who warned about different behavior between CCC on his old Gx system, and his new Intel Mac.
