I have a Canon Lide 70 scanner and a Macbook. Thinking it must be faster I timed it. Vuescan is no faster than the software provided by Canon and has less options to handle the files after you have scanned them. Why should anybody want to buy this expensive software ?

Dig a little deeper. The Canon scan software has much less capability than VueScan. I have used low-end and high-end Canon scanners (btw, Canons are my favorite) and have had good reason to use VueScan. Many that I know think that Canon should license and bundle VueScan to use on their superior scanners and not mess with their in-house....well unless someone's nephew would be out of work...Friday, March 30 2007 @ 03:52 PM PDT

I just realized that someone had just used "dig a little deeper"... hey, get out of my head! Or maybe its that because we both use similar equipment then we are somehow morphed into some "cloned" unit...
