Once I converted my databases from 9.0.8 to 9.1 I got this weird bug, where any new text I entered into the side drawer fields (call number, etc.) showed up as mojigumi (garbled-up Japanese characters). Preexisting text was unaffected, and the problem was solved by simply copying over all my references into a new, empty database.
