RE: Try This Instead - JeffCh

It's what this company does best. Apparently. They have created a million and one applications, each one addressing one little 'niche' task. Then they charge some ridiculous amount for the program. According to their web site, their apps start at 15 Euros (about $18.00 American, as of this writing).

Visit their site and you'll see what I mean. It seems like they have some new app coming out daily, and most of them seem like they were written for an "Introduction to Programming" class.

One ability I wish Versiontracker could give its users, would be the ability to filter out companies like this when we visit the site. What they are doing is not precisely illegal, but it certainly seems as though they are, perhaps, hoping to make some quick cash off of some of Versiontracker's more, 'unenlightened, visitors.
